Fluid Level Measurement
The fill level of a liquid barrel such as oil will be measured by means of a level sensor (ultrasonic, piezoresistive pressure sensor). The sensor is screwed onto the corresponding threaded opening of the barrel and measures the distance to the liquid. The measurement results are transferred to the cloud or SAP/ERP system via a LoRaWAN data logger at regular intervals. In the SAP/ERP system, a corresponding calculation of the fill level in liquid units is performed.

The determination of the stock of materials is done by a so-called force transducer. These force transducers continuously measure the force on the measuring plate. For each material, the SAP/ERP units for inventory can also be determined physically.

LoRaWAN devices transfer the measured sensor values in the warehouse to the SAP/ERP system in real time. If the system detects a reorder level, an SMS and/or e-mail notification can be sent to Purchasing to check the order.
